Genetics featured our article "Promotion of homologous recombination by SWS-1 in complex with RAD-51 paralogs in Caenhabditis elegans" by Tiffany "Brooke" McClendon, Meghan Sullivan, Kara Bernstein, and Judith Yanowitz (2016) Genetics 203(1): 133-145 in a Genetics Primer.
The Genetics Primer is used to highlight a Genetics article and to make the article accessible to educators to use for teaching. In our case, they wanted to highlight the use of the CRISPR technology that we used to disrupt SWS-1 and the yeast-2-hybrid and yeast-3-hybrid approaches to analyze the components and protein-protein interactions in the worm Shu complex.
