![]() The lab is growing and so we decided to update with a new lab photo. This is a rare moment when everyone was in the lab at the same time. Apparently, Monday afternoons are a happening place in the Bernstein lab. Kara puts on her lab coat and goggles to teach children about being a scientist. The class learned about DNA and made their own DNA chain. Then a magic wand was used to turn Kara into a pair of scissors and subsequently Kara broke the DNA chain to illustrate the importance of DNA repair. The presentation ended with a virtual lab tour and a coloring page for the kids to make their own DNA. Of course the students favorite part was turning Kara into a pair of scissors (and the goggles)....
